Synthesis of beta-cyclodextrin grafted attapulgite/iron oxides and their application for efficient removal of Eu152+154(III)

摘要The beta-cyclodextrin grafted attapulgite/iron oxides were synthesized and applied for Eu152+154(III) removal from aqueous solutions. The sorption of Eu152+154(III) was strongly dependent on pH, and was affected by ionic strength obviously at low pH, and was not influenced by ionic strength at high pH. The sorption was mainly dominated by outer-sphere surface complexation at low pH, and by inner-sphere surface complexation at high pH. The sorption capacity (30.95 mg g(-1)) was much higher than those of some other materials. Considering the good sorption characteristic and high magnetic separation efficiency, the beta-CD/magnetic attapulgite is a promising material for the preconcentration and separation of Eu152+154(III) in radioactive wastewater treatment.
